October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and in recognition of this we are offering a 90-minute Zumba master class, featuring our fab Shake Fitness instructors along with a few other local instructors (10) fabulous instructors!!! The cost is $20 per person when paid in advance (or) $25 at the door. We'll donate 75% of the proceeds to the Susan G Komen foundation through the "Party in Pink™" program.
A few facts:
Breast cancer is the most prevalent cancer among women and affects approximately one million women worldwide.
Awareness is critical, as early detection is crucial for the best prognosis. Women are encouraged to consult their doctors if they experience any symptoms; such lumps or other obvious symptoms. However, in many cases many experience no symptoms at all. This is where self exam and yearly check ups play an important part, as well as discussing risk factors, such as genetic markers and family history with your physician. If breast cancer is found at an early stage this improves the chances of recovery.
Join the Shake Fitness @ Shake Dance & Fitness Studio for our Party in Pink™ as we drive "awareness" by supporting the effort of the Susan G. Komen foundation's in finding the Cure® in hopes of putting an end to breast cancer.
Remember to wear pink. We'll also have a few official Zumba Party in Pink™ tank tops available for purchase prior to this event.
